Dr Matthew Zavarella received his B.S. and D.D.S. degrees from The Ohio State University. After graduation, he was accepted into The Ohio State University Advanced Periodontology Residency program, where he spent three years of specialized training and earning his certificate of specialization. During his time in Dental school and Residency he was involved with multiple National Institute of Health funded Research grants where he earned a M.S. degree with a focus on regenerating bone growth with the use of growth factors. He has lectured at professional society meetings in both the U.S. and Internationally on various periodontal topics. Currently Dr. Zavarella is in private practice in Westerville, where he resides today. His other interests include spending time with his wife, Traci and their sons Ari and Max, watching Ohio State sports, and playing golf.
